Urban Design School: Delivering Zero Carbon: From Big Picture to Local Action
Note: We encourage you to attend both days but you are welcome to just drop in for particular sessions.
From heating our homes to moving around, the built environment and construction sectors are responsible for 40% of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions. This 2-day Urban Design School will focus on achieving Net Zero Carbon and what that means for planning, development and design professionals. Attendees will learn about best practice, new concepts and practical advice for taking action towards net zero carbon targets.

Sustainable Design Brief – work in groups with expert tutors to apply what you have learned to a town centre site.
Attendees will get the most out of the Urban Design School by attending all sessions and it is highly recommended that everyone attend the first session on Day 1, as this sets the scene for the rest of the School. However, it is possible to attend only the sessions that are relevant to you if necessary.
