Building for Life Training

Design South East (formerly Kent Architecture Centre) is pleased to announce the first of a series of training courses as part of Kent Design – a new collaborative programme to support quality in the built environment throughout Kent and Medway.

Learn all about the excellent new Building for Life 12 toolkit, including its history, how it works, and how you can embed it into your everyday practice to improve design quality on the ground.

Building for Life 12 is the industry standard, endorsed by Government, for well-designed homes and neighbourhoods that local communities, local authorities and developers are invited to use to stimulate conversations about creating good places to live.

Building for Life 12 is a powerful tool for getting the right results on the ground. By stimulating conversation on critical areas of design, development teams and planning authorities can use BfL12 to explore issues, identify and focus on elements of a scheme which are underperforming, and explore how they can be improved through good design.
